“Today at a Glance” puts the three questions on your home screen: how did I sleep, did I move, has today's issue shipped?

Home screen

  • Small — masthead, last night's sleep duration with sleep score, a compact workout line (kcal × count) when yesterday had workouts, and a footer with dispatch status and the time of the last update.
  • Medium — a full front-page strip: masthead with date, three columns (sleep + score / workout kcal × count / dispatches sent-vs-total with a status word), and a folio footer.

The dispatch status dot is color-coded: green = everything sent, blue = sending in progress, gray = nothing queued today, red = something needs attention (with a count).

Lock screen

  • Rectangular — COURIER, last night's duration, dispatch count, and an ! when something needs attention.
  • Inline — one line: sleep duration · sent/total.

Adding it

Long-press the home screen → EditAdd Widget → search Courier. For the lock screen: long-press the lock screen → Customize.

How it refreshes

The widget never talks to HealthKit itself. The app pushes a snapshot whenever it reads or dispatches data — including background morning syncs — and the widget re-renders. A fallback refresh runs every 30 minutes (e.g. to roll the “today” boundary past midnight). If the widget looks stale, opening the app refreshes it immediately.

Tapping the widget opens today's issue.
